Indications

Ifa Acxion is a medication indicated for the treatment of obesity in patients who have not achieved adequate weight loss through diet and exercise. It is used as part of a comprehensive program that includes dietary changes and increased physical activity. Phentermine acts as an appetite suppressant and its use is recommended in patients with a high body mass index (BMI), specifically those with a BMI greater than 30 kg/m² or in patients with a BMI greater than 27 kg/m² who have comorbidities associated with obesity. It is important that its use is under medical supervision and that the patient is regularly monitored.

Composition

Each Ifa Acxion tablet contains 30 mg of phentermine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Ifa Acxion is contraindicated in patients with a history of uncontrolled hypertension, cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, a history of drug abuse, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It should not be used in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of their discontinuation.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of psychiatric illness, diabetes mellitus, seizure disorders, and those who are being treated with other medications that affect the central nervous system. A medical evaluation is essential before starting treatment and during its use, to monitor for possible adverse effects and the response to treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
